At 1.5” deep, Type B Deck provides a balance of strength and economy when used with rigid insulation at least 1” thick. B deck is manufactured from steel conforming to A653 and available with nested and interlocking side-laps, as well as an acoustic deck.

Much stronger than Type B Deck with twice the depth, Type N Deck typically works best for projects where the supporting members need to be spaced far apart to reduce the overall cost.
